11. Dugong
This is one of the three species of manatees in the world. It’s found in the waters of over 40 countries, especially in the Indo-West Pacific region. You won’t have any difficulty in telling a dugong from an average manatee. How? It’s tail is similar to that of a dolphin’s, and it also has a uniquely shaped skull as well as dentures. The snout of a dugong is overturned which is useful for feeding on seagrass.
