7. Cassowary
Before these creatures decide to attack, they plump up their feathers and make a booming sound. If the cassowary was a person, they’re the type to make themselves look good before trying to fight someone who crossed them. These endangered birds are very protective, especially when it comes to their chicks. That’s right, they’ve been there, done that, when it comes to protecting their little ones. They have killed and mauled humans with their huge talons. But just because they’re huge birds doesn’t mean they’re slow; because like the hippo, the cassowary can run up to 30 miles per hour too.
