11. Virgin Islands Dwarf Gecko
Perhaps the smallest lizard in the world, the Virgin Islands dwarf gecko is found in three of the British Virgin Islands: In Virgin Gorda, Tortola, and in Moskito Island. This lizard tends to inhabit drier hillsides while also preferring the moist conditions under the rocks because it doesn’t have the adaptation needed to prevent the loss of water. This gecko measures up to 18 mm, almost as small as a U.S. dime, and weighs 0.15 g.
Wow it’s so small!! It must be extinct but it’s really cute! I want one.
