7. African savanna
The once prevalent African wild dog is now an endangered species along with the world’s fastest land animal, the cheetah. These two species are losing their living spaces to agriculture, charcoal production, human settlements and roads. Their pack range has been significantly reduced and, in most instances, overlap with bigger carnivores like the lion and hyena. The African savanna is getting smaller and with that comes the threat of losing many species that depend on the huge expanse of the open plains for their survival.
