4. The Belly Rub Attack
We have all seen this. You are petting your precious kitty and they are loving it. Next thing you know your cat is on their back with their tummy exposed. As such, you go and scratch their cute, little tummy.
BIG MISTAKE!
Next thing you know, your cat has gone all Jekyll and Hyde on you and is now attacking your hand.
What the heck happened?
Actually, a couple of things happened. Your cat rolled over and exposed their tummy to you because they trust you – this is a good thing. Although, when you went in for the playful tummy rubs, you betrayed that trust, in your cats eyes. This is the most vulnerable part of your cat and often the scratching of the tummy will trigger a reflex that says attack!
