8. Punxsatawny Phil
For those of you who don’t know about the real holiday, but have seen the movie “Groundhog Day” starring Bill Murray, of course this groundhog makes it on the list. He really does predict the weather like our local weather reporters. He does so every February 2, when he is brought from his home in Punxsatawny, Pennsylvania, to a crowd of people in the media as well as locals alike to predict how much longer will the winter season last.
