Aggressive animals aren’t just limited to rabid dogs, or raccoons in the neighborhood or poisonous snakes, aggressive animals can be large or small, thus the phrase, small but terrible. Although aggressive animals aren’t all generally aggressive. While some are out of control, there are some who only turn aggressive when threatened or provoked, and rightfully so. The list of animals we have here may or may not be surprising to know about, but we do have to hand it to them for being fierce.

Contrary to it’s name, the honey badger doesn’t really look like one, as it looks more like a weasel. But don’t be fooled, this honey badger can pack a punch as it can attack any animals it comes across, even an animal as large as a lion. This carnivore has crazy sharp teeth, and its skin is thick enough to even sleep off a venomous snake bite. Don’t believe the honey in its name, because they are anything but.

Leave it to the movie “Jaws” to give everyone a fear of sharks, or a worsened fear, that is. Sharks are generally one of the most feared creatures in the ocean. But the bull shark, is something else. In the shark family, the pressure of a bull shark’s bite is deemed the strongest. Oh, and they are aggressive, crazy aggressive animals. Of any other shark in the ocean, they are responsible for biting more humans, probably because they prefer the warmer, shallower, human-infested waters.

Don’t believe the hippos that you see in the animated movies, or in the live-action ones where they talk, unless they’re the hippotatomus from the “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs” sequel. Hippopotamus are not like that at all. Despite being herbivores, they are very territorial creatures and can also run as fast as 30 miles per hour to come after anything who goes into their territory. Every year, hippos are the cause of 3,000 human deaths too. How’s that for aggressive?

One of the fastest snakes in the world, and also one of the most aggressive and the most venomous, contributing to the most number of human deaths by snakebite in the world. The black mamba’s venom acts just as fast as it moves too. Two drops of its venom and within hours or minutes, death arrives. Their aggressiveness only comes out when it is threatened however, mostly when it is cornered.

The saltie is deemed as the largest living land reptiles in existence. They are called the saltwater crocodile because of where they inhabit, which is, in salt water. If this crocodile was in an animal yearbook, the caption under them would be “Most Likely to Eat a Human”, because they are that aggressive. Don’t think they’re so easy to spot, though, as the saltwater crocodiles usually camouflage themselves very very well, and they prefer an ambush rather than a direct attack. But they do attack anything and even anyone that gets in their way.

Six little indians, playing with a hive, a bumblebee stung one and then there were five. Perhaps the line from the nursery rhyme refers to these killer bees, or commonly known as the Africanized bee, which is the result between the cross-breeding of European and African bees. They are most likely only aggressive when threatened, and when they do attack, it’s in a swarm.

Before these creatures decide to attack, they plump up their feathers and make a booming sound. If the cassowary was a person, they’re the type to make themselves look good before trying to fight someone who crossed them. These endangered birds are very protective, especially when it comes to their chicks. That’s right, they’ve been there, done that, when it comes to protecting their little ones. They have killed and mauled humans with their huge talons. But just because they’re huge birds doesn’t mean they’re slow; because like the hippo, the cassowary can run up to 30 miles per hour too.

No, we’re not talking about the X-Men. The largest of the weasel family is also quite a fighter itself. They may only weigh about 30 pounds, but trust us when we say that this guy can take on larger animals, like bears and even moose without hesitation. Oh, and they don’t hibernate.

Unfortunately, bears are not like Baloo from The Jungle Book, especially if Baloo was a Malayan sun bear, because he would have killed Mowgli from the start. They are very aggressive and compared to the other bear species, they have the biggest teeth, and can attack anything and anyone even without being provoked. Just like the cassowary, they are very, very protective of their little cubs too.

The wild boar is generally mean, and aggressive, which goes to say that they will definitely attack anything that comes in their way, because they’re the grumpy pants of the pig family. While their eyesight might not be that good, their sense of smell is sharp.

Wolves, grey wolves in this case, move about in packs because that’s how they roll. They even attack in packs too, and they are known to be able to take down larger animals. Grey wolves are territorial creatures as well, roaming their territory for more wolves to take into their pack. The alpha male mentality is also very evident, as they can and will kill each other whenever fights occur between packs.

Some monkey species are quite the friendly bunch, but not the baboon, oh no. Baboons are known to be one of the bullies in the animal kingdom. They will go after their enemies and when they catch them, they will kill them. Baboons are also quite sexist in a way, as they also tend to come after the female baboons as well.

Like many animals on this list, the bengal tiger is also quite territorial, and thus gets aggressive when something gets into their territory or if they are sick or provoked, or even threatened. And just like a few of the animals on this list, these tigers are also endangered.

There are many kinds of rhinos in the world, but the Western rhino is known to be the most aggressive of them all. They use their horns to attack and kill their prey, but their aggressiveness is mostly triggered by confusion, fear, or panic. But they are also one of the most endangered animals as well, as they often get hunted for their horns. The last remaining white rhino is being kept under guard by armed men too so no hunter can go near it, so it gives you an idea of how endangered they are.

1.
