Photo by Kelson (Wikimedia)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\nApparently other people have thought about using these animals as vacuum cleaners since they have been known to be kept as pets.\u00a0 Yes, the Sloth Bear can be easily tamed (well… easy for a bear) and has become popular in the pet trade.\u00a0 Capturing these bears along with habitat destruction and hunting has left the Sloth Bear vulnerable to extinction.\u00a0 Luckily there is still plenty of time to ensure that the Sloth Bear doesn’t get wiped from our planet but this will require some changes on our part.<\/p>\n
